Courteeners Drop New Single, “Solitude Of The Night Bus,” Announce New Album

Courteeners release new single, "Solitude of the Night Bus," and announce their 7th studio album.

Courteeners have dropped their latest single, “Solitude of the Night Bus,” with an attention-grabbing, Dom Foster-directed music video that’ll leave viewers entranced throughout the video’s 3-minute runtime.

Alongside the release of their latest single, Courteeners have also announced their upcoming, 7th studio album will be coming on October 25th via Ignition Records and is titled Pink Cactus Cafe.

“Solitude of the Night Bus” gives listeners their first good look into the band’s headspace ahead of their 7th studio album, leaving me excited for more as the single’s electronic-pop bounced throughout my ears as I danced in my office chair.

On the subject of “Solitude of the Night Bus,” Liam Fray shared, “This came at a time of real questioning. Things weren’t going particularly well. No confidence. No direction. I think that’s why – whisper it – it’s on the fun side. This is the new us. I’d previously worked with Ola on “Hanging Off Your Cloud” and, like then, there was just a magic in the room that was irresistible.”

“It’s a summer breeze. But it’s a winter’s night. Either way, sometimes you have to block out the noise. My late uncle Pat loved a whistle so it’s a bit of a homage to him. Get on the bus; headphones in; go your own way. It’s the feel-good, imposter syndrome hit of the summer.”

Pink Cactus Cafe featuring “Solitude of the Night Bus” is Courteeners’ first new music since the group’s 2020 release More. Again. Forever..

The upcoming album can be pre-ordered now in various fun physical ways including a cassette that has my complete attention.

Keep up with Courteeners
