JAMEO – “Safe And Sound” – Review

Firstly, this will be my first review of any style of EDM ever. I’m seriously surprised there haven’t been any others. But, I couldn’t have picked anyone better to make fun of, so JAMEO it is. JAMEO is getting prepared to rock everyone’s ear canals with his new single, “Safe And Sound,” and from what I’ve heard from his other efforts, and how he speaks of this one, “Safe And Sound” is pretty special.

I’ve known the man behind JAMEO aka Jamie back when he was still a guitar wizard for pop rock band Forget Me In Vegas and have been following his evolving musical career since then, even into a genre I’m not too familiar with. But, does “Safe And Sound” prove JAMEO is destined to stay within music? Or, should the once pop-rock hopeful finally hang up his musical ambitions? Let’s find out.

The Review

Can a song truly make your inner feelings feel completely naked? Because that’s how I felt within the first few notes of “Safe And Sound.” JAMEO’s latest musical effort wastes zero time, going straight for the heartstring kill, and will have your inner self feeling both vulnerable and confident all at once. If JAMEO was going for an emotional connection between artist and listener, he nailed it for sure. No questions asked.

Working alongside the wonderful LUX, it’s clear Jamie came prepared to take over the prime sound spectrum. These are the best rhythms and musical melodies I’ve heard from JAMEO so far, and comes off as far more anthemic force than previous single, “All I’m After.”

Lyrically, “Safe And Sound” contains some of the best strung together poetry I’ve heard this year. Listeners will clearly have “I would give it all, but I’m scared that I might lose you. If I let you see the whole truth” punching them point-blank in the heart once those first thirty seconds come into play. “Safe And Sound” is an emotional mess, a complex disaster, and your next favorite song.

That Ending Though

JAMEO’s new single “Safe And Sound” is the clear evolution of a musician that has been in constant evolution for over a decade. An artful masterpiece, an EDM orgasmic level event, and a single that will have listeners begging for more. If “Safe And Sound” is any indication of what JAMEO’s future creations might consist of, you can very well count me excited.

If you’d like to constantly have JAMEO’s new single “Safe And Sound” on constant repeat, you can find it on pretty much all major streaming services. Also, make sure to check out JAMEO’s official SoundCloud for more musical goodness.
