Avery Lynch Releases Emotional New Single “Rain”

Avery Lynch is pulling heartstrings with her emotional new single, "Rain."

It’s fitting that Avery Lynch’s new emotional single “Rain” would be released when it’s actually raining outside my window in my part of sunny Southern California. I wasn’t ready for my tears to be added to the outside waterworks but Avery Lynch and her amazing way with words had other ideas.

On the emotional single itself, Avery Lynch explains, “I wrote “Rain” about a time when my boyfriend and I were broken up and I was asked on a date by someone else. It recounts everything I was experiencing-where I was, what I felt, and what I wanted. It means a lot to me and it’s so cool to see how much it means to others, too.”

Often described as a “happy girl filled with sad songs,” Avery Lynch perfectly captures the emotions one might feel going through that weird phase in a breakup, perfectly grabbing my own memories and emotions of similar times. “Rain” is a raw, beautiful, and broken soothing listening experience that I couldn’t hit the “like” button on Spotify fast enough. The experience one might get with this new single is something special.

Alongside the release of “Rain,” Avery Lynch has also attached what is being called a “voice memo” version of the song that’s even more raw and vulnerable than its official counterpart. You can stream “Rain” and “Rain – Voice Memo” on streaming platforms now.
