Coldplay is back once again with producer Max Martin for the follow-up to their space odyssey, Music of the Spheres, titled, MOON MUSiC. MOON MUSiC is scheduled to be released on October 4 with the album’s first single, “feelslikeimfallinginlove” dropping on Friday, June 21.
Coldplay’s new Max Martin-produced album is available to pre-order now in a variety of options that range from a CD/vinyl that includes a hand-signed art card to a limited edition, numbered “notebook” edition that consists of a replica of frontman Chris Martin’s original studio notebook.
Alongside the band’s sustainability initiatives featured throughout their Music of the Spheres world tour, Coldplay has partnered with The Ocean Cleanup for their tenth studio album.
The band’s physical vinyl release of MOON MUSiC will continue their ongoing initiative by becoming the world’s first album to be released as a 140g EcoRecord LP. Each copy of the standard editions of the album is to be made from 9 recycled PET-plastic bottles which will provide an 85% reduction in manufacturing process CO2 emissions.
Additionally, Coldplay’s partnership with The Ocean Cleanup will see the band’s “notebook” edition be comprised of 70% river plastic intercepted by The Ocean Cleanup from the Rio Las Vacas, Guatemala.
The CD version of the album will also be the world’s first to be released on EcoCD.
Fans can pre-save Coldplay’s upcoming single, “feelslikeimfallinginlove” now with a few options to share a clip of the single via various social media channels.
