Derek Ted Releases Personal Music Video For “L U C K Y”

Folk-emo performer Derek Ted would like to bring you into his life via his new music video for “L U C K Y.” Premiering via Brooklyn Vegan, Derek Ted’s new music video is shot completely on his VHS camera while he was writing the track itself.

While talking about his somber and ear-calming track Derek Ted stated; “L U C K Y’ is one of the more vulnerable tracks on my new record and I wanted the video to be like a lo-fi journal entry of that time.” A phenomenal music video that truly seems to capture the raw emotion of the track itself, and might I add I still enjoy the VHS look. There’s just something raw and real about it.

“L U C K Y” is taken from Derek Ted’s Pure Noise Records debut Better Spirit in which he describes; “I wrote this record to pull myself out of my own darkness. It was a way to push through and find hope in a time when I felt like I had none.” If you’re interested in checking out the rest of Better Spirit, you can find it on all major streaming platforms right now.
