Magnolia Park Reintroduces The World To Powerline With Their High-Energy “I2I” Cover

'The Goofy Movie's' iconic popstar Powerline lives on in Magnolia Park as the pop-punk band tackles the iconic Disney song, "I2I."

Pop-punk’s rising voices Magnolia Park are showing love for The Goofy Movie and its iconic popstar Powerline with their new cover of “I2I.” Officially unveiled as the second single from Disney’s upcoming A Whole New Sound, Magnolia Park’s pop-punk take on the mega-hit classic follows Simple Plan’s heart-pounding rendition of “Can You Feel The Love Tonight?”

On bringing in Magnolia Park and the inclusion of the iconic “I2I,” Tim Pennoyer, director of brand marketing for The Walt Disney Company shared, “It was important to me to have some up-and-coming bands on the album since part of the fun of the legendary Punk Goes Pop series in the early 2000s was discovering new bands. After the release of the first single from A Whole New Sound, “I2I” was the most requested Disney song by fans on social media to be covered next.”

When it comes to covering the fan-favorite Disney song, Magnolia Park shares, “‘I2I” is a huge part of black history and inspired all of us as kids to make music. The message of the song of all of us coming together is something we all stand by.”

Magnolia Park’s “I2I” and Simple Plan’s “Can You Feel The Love Tonight?” are just a few tastes listeners can expect when Disney’s A Whole New Sound is released later this year, which will include a vinyl release for us album collectors out there.
