Still from carolesdaughter's music video for "please put me in a medically induced coma"

carolesdaughter Spits Hard Truths With “please put me in a medically induced coma”

Spitting hard truths is never an easy thing to do, but carolesdaughter has the guts with her latest alt-pop blowout, “please put me in a medically induced coma.” Accompanying the new track is a shape-shifting music video that further shows the decay themed throughout the new track.

Directed by Anastasia Lebedeva Delmark, a wonderful creator that takes the viewers into carolesdaughter’s journey into her personally developed emotional hell. Taking viewers deep into her subconsciousness giving us all glimpses of her personal style and flair. It’s a fun and truth-telling look at today’s mental health pandemic.

While talking about “please put me in a medically induced coma,” front person Thea Taylor shared that her new track “was the anthem my friends and I would sing when I was in treatment. I wrote it when I was there, and we would sing it all the time. It’s one of my favorite songs to sing because of the lyrics. “I can’t hurt if I’m in a dream” is one of my favorite lines because it captures the feeling of needing an escape.”

“please put me in a medically induced coma” has quickly become one of my favorite songs this Summer, and I can’t wait to dive in and review this one. So, stay tuned for that. If you’re like me and you can’t wait to hear this song performed in a live setting, carolesdaughter will be hitting the road on select dates with The Used + Coheed and Cambria, as well as Machine Gun Kelly.
