Still from Pen Pin's music video for "The Boredom."

Pen Pin Attack Low Dopamine With “The Boredom”

Indie-pop duo Pen Pin are tackling low levels of dopamine with their new single, "The Boredom."

Palm Desert duo Pen Pin is tackling the issue of the effect of low levels of dopamine with their new single, “The Boredom.”

Accompanying the release of their new single is a robotic and fun beach-themed music video directed by the duo’s very own Jeni Magana, which manages to fit the themes and overall vibe of the single itself.

“The Boredom” is fun, memorizing, and a perfect way to get through those gloomy days when you’re completely over it and can’t pinpoint why.

Jeni Magana shares, “I hope it serves as a reminder not to be too hard on ourselves when we find ourselves scrolling through our phones yet again, without knowing how we got there.

“The Boredom” isn’t necessarily evil, but it’s a character that you might not always want around but seems to show up when you least expect it anyway.”

Pen Pin’s upcoming album, Pony Up, is expected to drop spring of 2024.
