“‘Cause I know you want the best of me/But what about the rest of me?” It’s this lyrical string placed perfectly within the song’s tearjerker chorus that pulled me in within my first listen as I quickly found myself lost in the subtle and sweet vocal melodies, like a whisper, the airy delivery would travel through my senses becoming a faded notion that would replay constantly on a loop.

“Best Of Me” is a beautifully tragic tale of wanting more but not giving your all in return, hiding yourself from the world while playing the role of a broken heart. It’s the tragedy between each lyric that I loved the most. The track is unfiltered, whimsical, and doesn’t fail to be what it’s meant to be. It’s a page pulled right out of a journal entry.

Vienna Vienna lays it all out during the track’s a little over 3-minute runtime. But, that won’t matter as hours go by and you realize the track has been running on repeat and you find yourself transcribing each little detail, stapling its existence onto your own as a new petal on your identity.

Instrumentally, “Best Of Me” is a fever dream. It’s tranquil and I could listen to a full instrumental for days. This new single combined with the previously released streaming hit “Beauty Queen” has me hooked and excited for whatever else this rising glimmer star has planned for the rest of 2024.

Vienna Vienna’s take on being vulnerable and relatable is on full display within “Best Of Me,” and I can easily see this track becoming a long-term favorite of mine as the year continues to fly by. Heck, I’m already singing the entire thing when I make my morning coffee so it’s pretty clear this one has strong lasting power.
