Yellowcard & Chrissy Costanza Share “A Whole New World” As Disney Drops Pop-Punk Cover Album

Yellowcard and Chrissy Costanza bring "A Whole New World" to life for Disney's pop-punk cover album, 'A Whole New Sound.'

Pop-punk fans and Disney adults it’s time! Disney has released their pop-punk cover album, A Whole New Sound, and to further celebrate the release they’ve unveiled a new music video for Yellowcard’s take on “A Whole New World” featuring Chrissy Costanza.

The new music video follows in the vein of We The Kings’ “Go the Distance,” featuring both Yellowcard and Chrissy Costanza recording their track in the studio while lyrics from the Disney original flash across the screen. It’s a simple yet effective way to bring listeners into the creation of Yellowcard’s cover.

On their cover of “A Whole New World,” Yellowcard frontman Ryan Key shares, “There is nothing in my life that keeps me in tune with my inner kid more than my love of Disney. So, it is my pleasure to tell that kid that he and his best buds are in a band that has a song on an official Disney release! From the moment this opportunity came up we had “A Whole New World” in mind with the idea to feature our friend Chrissy Costanza. Her voice is so amazing and she definitely did Jasmine proud!”

Collectors who want to bring the magic of Disney’s A Whole New Sound into their homes can now also pre-order the pop-punk featured cover album in a black & white splatter vinyl, featuring alternate artwork, that will be released on October 4.
