Disney’s ‘A Whole New Sound’ Tracklist Revealed: New Found Glory, Yellowcard, Boys Like Girls + More

Disney's journey into the world of pop-punk with their new covers album is almost here as the tracklist and release date for 'A Whole New Sound' has been revealed.

Disney’s rendition of the classic Punk Goes Pop albums is almost here as the upcoming covers album, A Whole New Sound, is scheduled for release on September 6 with New Found Glory’s take on the Little Mermaid classic, “Part of Your World” dropping tonight at 9 PM PST.

Disney has already lit the hearts of pop-punk fans with the release of the Simple Plan’s so repeatable version of The Lion King’s “Can You Feel The Love Tonight,” and the high-energy “I2I” by Magnolia Park.

New Found Glory’s “Part of Your World” will kick off the Disney covers album before launching into tracks such as “Go the Distance” which has been handed to Florida natives We The Kings, Boys Like Girls tackling “You’ll Be In My Heart,” and Yellowcard taking on “A Whole New World,” just to name a few.

This month, Plain White T’s debuted their version of “Surface Pressure” during the company’s fan D23 event. Though it sounded a little rough (thanks to fan cams), I’m excited to see how the guys bring the Encanto anxiety-filled piece into their unique sound.

Disney’s A Whole New Sound is shaping up to be a pop-punk fan’s dream that will surely become a must-listen for Disney adults while driving out to Disney parks worldwide. The covers album displays a nice mix between past pop-punk groups and those that are just now making a name for themselves.

September 6 is not only the release date planned for A Whole New Sound but also when fans of physical media can expect to place their pre-order for the album’s upcoming vinyl which will be released later, on October 4. Fans will also be able to pre-add the upcoming album on Apple Music and Spotify tonight beginning at 9 PM PST.
