Sum 41 has had quite the victory lap as they say goodbye to an explosive career with many highs and lows. The latest and final signal of love for their fanbase is the release of one last music video for their emotional song, “Radio Silence,” taken from the band’s final album, Heaven :x: Hell, which Rise Records released last year.
The release of the music video for “Radio Silence” follows Sum 41’s emotional weekend, including their induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the group’s final live performance at the 54th Annual JUNO Awards.
The final music video from Sum 41 features a variety of behind-the-scenes clips of the band throughout the years, as well as various live performances and music video releases. It’s an emotional lookback of the band’s massive career that had me welling up the moment frontman Deryck Whibley walked in front of the wall of screens.
Sum 41 left a small note for their Skumfuks on social media: “As the Sum quietly set Sunday night, we wanted to leave you with something special to show our appreciation for all of the love that you have shown us over the years.”
