K-pop star AleXa continues her pop-punk transformation with the release of her 4th English single, “Joy of Missing Out.” A new introvert anthem that’ll have those of you who enjoy staying home raving with joy. AleXa’s journey into the pop-punk genre has been exciting and her new single continues to impress me as she showcases her unique twist on the fun-filled genre.
Alongside the release of her single onto streaming platforms, AleXa has also released a new visualizer for fans to enjoy, featuring a few new shots of the powerhouse female performer accompanied by the single’s infectious lyrics.
On her new introvert anthem, AleXa shares, “I, myself, am an extrovert, but I’m the only one in my friend group. This song goes out to all those who’d rather party by themselves than get lost in the crowd.”
The release of “Joy of Missing Out” follows AleXa’s KCON takeover and further shows the artist’s genre-bending abilities. I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to hear an AleXa-fied version of some other pop-punk songs in some form, maybe something from Oklahoma’s own, The All-American Rejects? Either way, this continued journey into my favorite genre is exciting to see in terms of the K-Pop spin AleXa can provide.
“Joy of Missing Out” will join AleXa’s previously released English singles on an upcoming album that is so far scheduled to drop later this year.
