Badflower want to feel the same when they started with the release of their new, addictive single, “Detroit.” Released via Big Machine Rock, Badflower’s new earworm is incredibly relatable on many fronts while also becoming one of my favorite songs released this summer.
Written in the back at The Fillmore, “Detroit” aside from taking the realistic themes of finally making it, also acts as a total love letter to the band’s dedicated fanbase as they take a trip through their ups and downs in hyper-sonic fashion.
Alongside the release of the single itself, Badflower has also released a new music video that showcases the moment fans became immortalized within the soundscape of the band’s latest experience.
On the single itself, frontman Josh Katz shares, “I think anyone who has achieved something that they always thought they wanted has felt disappointment in finally reaching that goal. It’s like, “I have it, now what do I do?” And then you realize how fun it was chasing the thing you wanted – it was the journey that meant everything.”
