Still from Ice Nine Kills + Reel Big Fish's music video for "Walking On Sunshine."

Ice Nine Kills Is “Walking On Sunshine” With Reel Big Fish

Ice Nine Kills has partnered with Reel Big Fish and Sumerian Comics to bring listeners a twisted new take on "Walking On Sunshine."

The handsome devils, Ice Nine Kills have teamed up with ska legends, Reel Big Fish to tackle your new favorite summer cover in “Walking On Sunshine.” The pair have partnered with Sumerian Comics’ American Psycho comic book series to bring fans this new take on the Katrina and the Waves classic.

Alongside the release of this new version of “Walking On Sunshine,” Ice Nine Kills and Reel Big Fish also star in an amazingly animated/live-action fusion of a music video that perfectly captures the feel of this new take on a classic, as well as providing an amazing background piece for the American Psycho comic book series.

Speaking on their twisted take, Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas shares, “It’s no secret to INK fans that ska punk and horror movies are what pumps through my bloodstream. When the opportunity arose to combine one of my favorite films with one of my favorite bands of all time I didn’t just jump at the chance, I skanked over to my nail gun, axe, and chainsaw and bludgeoned out my favorite cover we’ve ever done.”

President of Sumerian Comics, Nathan Yocum shared in Spencer Charnas’ excitement by stating, “We are thrilled to have Ice Nine Kills performing a cover of “Walking On Sunshine” for the soundtrack to our American Psycho comic book series. Their unique blend of theatricality and intensity perfectly complements the dark and twisted themes of our story. This collaboration brings an exciting new dimension to the project, and we can’t wait for fans to experience this iconic song like never before.”

Fans of both Ice Nine Kills and Reel Big Fish’s cover of “Walking On Sunshine” can pick up their copies of Sumerian Comics’ ongoing American Psycho comic book series as they’re released.
