BIGBANG’s Taeyang Returns With New EP ‘Down To Earth’ + Emotional “Seed” Music Video

BIGBANG's Taeyang continues his global takeover by releasing his new EP, 'Down to Earth,' including an emotional music video for "Seed."

BIGBANG’s Taeyang continues his global takeover by releasing his long-awaited sophomore EP, Down to Earth. Released via THEBLACKLABEL/Interscope Records, Taeyang’s second EP contains six tracks, including his collabs with Jimin of BTS and Lisa of BLACKPINK, among others.

Fans of Taeyang have been waiting for the global superstar’s latest take on his explosive solo effort since his 2017 release, White Night, with Down to Earth not disappointing in the creative process as Taeyang has writing credits on each track featured on his sophomore extended play, dipping his fingers throughout the entire process along the way.

On the topic of Down to Earth, Taeyang shared, “This album comes from various emotions and inspirations that I felt underneath my skin as I gazed at the sunset. The sunset, which decorates a day’s end, welcomes the dark night and not a new morning. Just like the sunset, my world is colored with beautiful memories of the past, but what came back to me was the ceaseless night that followed. Thus, I began to realize that the image of myself over the past six years was not much different than the sunset.”

To continue celebrating the release of Down to Earth, Taeyang also shared the emotional new music video for “Seed.” A beautifully directed black-and-white music video that touches on the track’s themes while bringing viewers the sunrise.

Down to Earth is geared up to be a sensational extended play that Taeyang will undoubtedly utilize in his growing arsenal of songs. If you have yet to give the six-track EP a spin, you can do so via Apple Music and Spotify.
