FVNERAL Release Hard-Hitting Debut EP, ‘WHEN I GET SOBER”

Indie rockers FVNERAL have dropped their emotionally hard-hitting debut EP, 'WHEN I GET SOBER.'

Indie-rock group FVNERAL has dropped their long-anticipated debut EP WHEN I GET SOBER. The Eora/Sydney-based rockers’ debut EP was co-produced by band member Tim Blunt and Phan Sjarif and is a hard-hitting project touching upon complex and heartbreaking themes.

Alone, the band’s single, “SOBER,” is enough to make any listener feel tears forming the second the band’s haunting instrumentals kick into gear and bring listeners on a ride through intimate breakdowns and self-revealing truths. A powerful track that only gets better when encircled by the remainder of the EP as a whole.

A collection of five songs heavy on emotion and eye-opening with the truth. FVNERAL knocks it out of the part with this one, and though this isn’t a formal review, I might need to schedule this release for one shortly to dive in even more.

Coming together to craft these songs truly saw the seven of us move from friends to chosen family, learning how to show up for each other in the difficult times and how to find joy in overcoming them together. The EP is our attempt to articulate the heaviest parts of the human experience. It’s allowed us to hold these experiences with a warmth, hope and levity that we couldn’t have come close to creating by ourselves. Now we’re excited to invite the world to be part of this community too.
