Justin Bieber has certainly been on fire this year with his latest album, Justice. To continue his victory lap, Bieber has released a new music video for “Ghost,” which stars the fabulous Diane Keaton. Bieber’s new music video sees the Canadian pop star playing the part of a loving grandson and follows Bieber’s character coming to terms with the passing of his character’s grandfather. Along the grieving process, Bieber’s character reignites his grandmother’s (played by Diane Keaton) spark in life while taking her out on a fun-filled adventure with a night of cocktails and dancing.
Justin Bieber’s music video for “Ghost” is a beautiful concept that perfectly tells the story within the song itself. The video leads up to an emotional end as Diane Keaton’s character finally moves on and starts the process of finding happiness again. On the “Ghost” music video itself, Keaton, who was chosen by Bieber, specifically stated, “He called me up, and I said, ‘yeah, sure.’ I thought the song was wonderful.” Continuing, Keaton says the music video experience was “sheer fun.”
The Colin Tilley-directed music video is a tearful experience that brings the track full circle. Personally, “Ghost” is my favorite track off of Justice, so to see it getting the traction it deserves is excellent. Also, if you haven’t yet, I would recommend checking out Bieber’s live performance version of the track, as the changes to “Ghost’s” live counterpart takes the song to new heights.
Once again, Justin Bieber is celebrating the release of Justice: The Complete Edition, which is out now and can be streamed via your favorite streaming services. As always, make sure also to keep tabs on Bieber’s social media accounts, so you never miss a release.
