Until You Disappear – “Let Go” Review: A Fun-Filtered Summer Groove

Pop-punk is trying too many new things that Until You Disappear's latest single, "Let Go," might be a breath of fresh air. Let's find out.

Up and coming pop-punk group Until You Disappear wish listeners would just let go with the release of their latest single, “Let Go.” It’s still crazy to me to see the differences striking through the pop-punk scene right now. You have Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker doing their thing with music fusion, and then you have bands like Until You Disappear and Meet Me @ The Altar holding onto core pop-punk values still pushing out amazing tunes to jam too.

But, is Until You Disappear’s latest single, “Let Go,” ready to hang with top songs from groups like Neck Deep and State Champs? Or, are there already too many pop-punk groups in the scene’s kitchen? Let’s find out.

The Review

Expressing carefree tendencies is what “Let Go” attempts to convey to listeners. Until You Disappear’s latest release is a fun-filtered Summer groove that’s perfect for early morning beach drives along Pacific Coast Highway. A high on life musical experience that will get listeners dancing right in their seats to bouncing off their walls.

A subtle yet explosive instrumental eruption gets sensations tingling and foot taps becoming more apparent. Expressive guitar riffs that make up the backbone of “Let Go” leading the track’s other overarching instrumentals into a Shakespearean showcase of blissful sound for the ear.

“Just let go/Just let go,” vocalist Edd Hartley repeatedly sings, giving the track a sense of urgency as his high-hat melodies march along with the whimsical instrumentals already at play. The perfect amount of sing-along moments to grasp listeners’ attention and keep them coming back for more.

Wrapping Up

One thing is for sure. Until You Disappear is going to have a hard time making even themselves disappear if they continue to release amazing, danceable, and sing-along live-ready tracks like “Let Go.” I won’t lie and say it’s the most fun I’ve had with a 2021 released pop-punk track. But, I will say that it’s damn near up there. I’m looking forward to hearing more from these guys as their career is only just beginning.

If you’d like to catch up with everything going on with Until You Disappear, then you’d best keep tabs on the band via their Instagram page, Twitter, and Facebook. Heck, why not all three while you’re at it.
