blink-182 Search For “Happy Days” With New Single

blink-182 knows how to fire up their fan base, releasing new single “Happy Days,” the third single off their upcoming album, which has been revealed with a September release date. Celebrating “blink-182 Day,” an annual holiday the band has been celebrating for years, which also happens to be the 182nd day of the year. I couldn’t think of a better date for Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and Matt Skiba to unleash a new beast.

Standing on its own two feet, new single “Happy Days” is the first track to heavily feature just bassist Mark Hoppus on vocals since the departure of former guitarist Tom DeLonge. The always awesome Zane Lowe had the opportunity to chat with blink-182 this morning, where the band talked a little about the new single stating, “it’s about coming from a place of frustration and anger saying… “I want to go to better times, I want to go to a better place and I’m gonna leave all this nonsense behind and just find my zone.”

“Happy Days” joins previous singles “Blame It On My Youth” and “Generational Divide” as blink-182 head deeper into the summer season, with a tour in full swing. If you’re interested in checking out blink-182 this summer, head over to the band’s official website where you can locate tour dates. Also, if you want our more in-depth thoughts on blink-182’s latest single, we have released our track-by-track review today to help celebrate among the boys of blink-182.
